The participants in Qamīs represent multiple generations and disciplines across the Eastern Mediterranean.
Designers. Architects. Artists. Chefs.
Researchers. Historians. Makers.
Each enters the project through a different fragment of the shirt. Some begin with fiber, others with memory, labor, ritual, landscape, construction, or form. Together, their work reveals the shirt not as a garment, but as a system of material and cultural knowledge.
Participants will be announced progressively through August 2026.
The exhibition begins long before it opens. The Archive gathers the research, field notes, and material histories that shaped Qamīs.
