About Us

FRAGMENTA is a pioneering design and sustainability initiative founded by Nour Najem and Guilaine Elias, and curated by Gregory Gatserelia. Rooted in circular economy principles, the project transforms discarded remnants into one-of-a-kind collectible pieces, either functional or purely artistic, redefining waste as a source of beauty, heritage, and creative potential.

In its inaugural edition, FRAGMENTA partners with Najem Group & Co., a cornerstone of Lebanon’s marble industry since 1981. Designers—both emerging and established—are invited to reimagine forgotten fragments from the factory’s archives, crafting new narratives from broken samples and leftover stone.

At its core, FRAGMENTA is a celebration of craftsmanship, material legacy, and community. It pays homage to stone’s enduring role in human history while looking toward a more sustainable future. By uniting generations of creatives around a shared mission, FRAGMENTA proves that even fragments hold cultural, material, and social value.

The project will culminate in a transformative exhibition and cultural gathering at the Najem Group & Co. factory—a collective tribute to creativity, conscious design, and the art of renewal.
