A design project by Nour Najem and Guilaine Elias
Curated by Gregory Gatserelia
Launching September 2025 – Beirut, Lebanon
FRAGMENTA is a new design initiative rooted in sustainability, craft, and cultural memory. Conceived by Nour Najem and Guilaine Elias, and curated by Gregory Gatserelia, the project brings together 53 designers to transform discarded stone fragments—offcuts, broken slabs, and forgotten samples into meaningful, functional works.
Produced in collaboration with the artisans of Najem Group, a leader in Lebanon’s stone industry since 1981, each piece must retain at least 70% marble, honoring the raw material while exploring new forms of expression.
Launching in September 2025 at the Najem Group factory in Beirut, FRAGMENTA will unfold through a city-wide exhibition, positioning stone not just as a building material, but as a vessel for memory, resilience, and renewal.
“Each fragment carries a silent story. Through creativity, it begins a new one.”

“FRAGMENTA bridges design, sustainability, and identity—reviving what was once forgotten.”
